Por Dios...lo haré-By God…It Shall Be Done

Este mensaje puede parecer un poco extraño, pero estoy tratando de sacar provecho de lo que podríamos llamar compromiso social. Básicamente, quiero sentir la presión de la familia y amigos por hacer algo que yo siento que realmente yo tengo que hacer. Es decir, tomar ... y pasar mi examen de higienista industrial certificado.

This message may seem a little strange, but I’m trying to take advantage of what one might call social commitment. Basically, I want to feel pressure from family and friends to do something I feel I really need to do. That is, take…and pass, my Certified Industrial Hygienist Exam.

Actualmente estoy tomando un curso en línea que me ha ayudado a obtener un poco de motivación, pero necesito mucho motivación. Creo que tuve muy buenas razones para no tomar el examen esta primavera pasada como se yo había previsto inicialmente. Pero este otoño…tengo que tomarlo, y tengo que darlo mi esfuerzo genuino.

I am currently taking an online course which has helped me get the ball rolling, but I need to keep it rolling. I think I have pretty good reasons for not taking the exam this spring as originally planned. But this fall…I need to take it, and I need to give it my genuine best effort.

No necesariamente tengo que pasar, pero sé que si le dan verdadero esfuerzo...la preparación para el examen de nuevo en la primavera va a ser mucho menos difícil...y voy a tener una gran medida de la libertad de la tensión interna que actualmente siento.

I don’t necessarily need to pass, but I know that if I give it genuine effort…preparing for the exam again in the spring will be much less arduous…and I will have a large measure of freedom from the internal tension I currently feel regarding getting this thing done.

El CIH es mayor para la gente de seguridad gente que cualquier otra certificación y suele ser considerado como mucho más valioso que un título de postgrado. No puedo garantizar que seré tan guapo como el hombre en la foto en la página de web de ABIH, pero voy a ser yo mismo con el placer...y que es más importante, si lo desearé, dispuesto a pasar.

The CIH is a bigger deal to safety folks than any other certification out there and usually regarded as much more valuable than a postgraduate degree. No guarantees I’ll be as good looking as the successful looking guy in the photo on the ABIH web page once this is done, but I’ll certainly be pleased with myself…and more importantly, if I so desire, ready to move on.
